Alternator... battery nt charging!

HELP!!!

Over the last week in my evenings I have put the engine and box back in and been trying to get it running ready for a RR session.... its been slow but mostly biggest issue is my time or lack of it.

Anyhow got the car out the garage last night and went for a run in it of around 10miles, all was great, new clutch was fine, box felt good, engine felt ok (albeit in need of a tune now the timing has been changed)... got back put the car in the garage and left it running.

10 mins later the engine cut out... basically the battery had run out of power so I have an alternator issue.

Ive checked the 4 fuses above the battery and there is main power to the alternator strap.... anything else I can check?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated as I am at clients this morning and so only have around 2hrs to work on the car before I head off to get the map checked by Yellowshed tonight. Im not even sure how to check if its working or not!, pretty sure I cant have plugged the wires in back to front as its a one sided plug?

Have you checked that the two other connectors are still attached, The small black one to the battery light and the white one to the voltage regulator? Easy to dislodge if you are working in that area.

Both of these wires pulled out the bullet conectors when I removed so I put new connectors on.... The light on dash isn't on to say not charging so wonder if these could be wrong way round, pretty sure I matched the wire colours up tho :-(

Andy , check the top of the battery is there not a cable that goes from the alternator to the battery ??

Have you put the gearbox to chassis earth strap back on ?

Stock Noble has a rather undersized wire from the alternator that goes to a branch point just inside the rear of the tunnel. From that branch point, one wire runs to the 40 amp fuse on the front footwell electrical panel, and another wire runs to the 80 amp maxi-fuse under the rear clam. After the maxi-fuse, the wire goes to a second branch point (usually on the hot side of the starter relay) where it powers the engine harness, and goes to the battery.

Back to the original problem - first, make sure that the short red wire coming out of the 3-pin connector is hooked up. Second, does the alt light on the console light up at all (like with the engine off, key in on position, immobilizer off)? If not, ground the blue wire on the 3-pin connector and see if the light goes on. If it doesn't, check the bulb in the console, and check fuse #9 in the front footwell fusebox.

all wireing was in place correctly, however one of the little wires had come apart inside the heat wrap stuff... sorted it now and seems to be charging
It even seems to be holding all its fluids lol

just having a and then im off to see a young man called Yellowshed for a little RR action
