1991 Ferrari Testarossa or newish Esprit V8

Hi there I wanted to post this here rather than on the esprit forum as I know what they will say. So for a change I would like to hear from the people who have a 1991 Testarossa or driven one to comment pls.
In a about a year or so we are making plans to accomodate another toy once we build another garage I have seen one of these come up for sale in NZ that is reasonably priced offers of around 100K NZD, 34000miles all belts done plus clutch. I was wondering if you could tell me the pros and cons of this model and how it handles compared to an esprit if any of you know?

If it is a testarossa, you want the latest you can afford. It should have mirrors both sides (the earlier ones don't) and not have the center wheel nut. The best is the 512 TR the engine was lower in the car and with other improvements a much better car.

Don't you listen to them kylie - you go ahead and buy exactly what you want.. but i'd steer clear of those esprit v8's if I were you. I hear they are lots of trouble, usually serious

Arrrrh been found.. sorry I just wanted to give loti a new friend to keep her company, always wanted this model and have the opportunity to get one soon. Don't worry wont be selling the Esprit shes in a class of her own

Kylie, I think you know the answer to the question anyway.

The Testarossa is all about the engine. It sounds great, has amazing presence, but it is a fat old girl and does'nt handle great ( the 512TR is different - handles nicely ).

The Esprit V8 is lighter, faster, and has the most amazing engine. Its handling is in a different league to the Testarrosa's. But it does'nt make a noise like Ferrari 12 cylinder !
