Police Activity A8/M8 this morning

Very active this morning, a Police X5 positioned at the small side access road Westbound just after Eurocentral, then police bikers at another access road just before Showcase and similar on the other side.
Saw the bikers escorting one HGV off at M73 / Baillieston turning. Presumably DVLA or some sort of checks?

There was a white van parked about 1/2 a mile past the Shawhead junction on the west bound side,that had the rear panels cut out(much like a scamera van)but had a tiny little sticker saying "Motorway Maintenance" and without the usual beacon bars etc.
Not suspicious in anyway!!
I think there was a purge on tax dodgers in and around Glasgow today.
