Should this go in the Boat Forum? wink

Great picture whoever painted it but we are too ignorant to nail the Ships title.

Yeah, you're right, my mistake. QM1 had 3, QE1, 2.

Eh confused

Posting the photo of the QE shows that it clearly aint, not confirms that it is.

WTF?

hehe

The anchor is in a different place.
The top of the bow is a different shape.
The front superstructure is very different.
The davits & life boats are on the top deck, are inboard, and run the full length of the superstructure in the photo, they are outboard and on the lower deck mid section only and continue forward of the bridge in the painting.

Of course, it could be a really crap artist?

Drat.

Could have sworn Normandie had two. Might have got it confused with the SS United States.

RMS Mauretania?

2 ships of the same name, the first was in service from 1906 -> 1934 & had 4 funnels. The second, in service from 1938 -> 1965 & had 2 funnels. Although the lifeboats are in different places, so it might not be the Mauretania 2 either.

Lifeboats completely wrong. Full length of the top deck inboard and all aft of the bridge on the Mauretania photo. In the painting they are lower deck outboard amidships only and come forward of the bridge.

It might be a Dutch ship, as it's owned by Dutch Quality Flowers (DQF).

I can't place it, it could be a made up generic liner.

It's none of these - http://www.lostliners.com/index.html <---- Use the drop down at the top.
