After having SH3 and not liking SH4 because it was US Pacific based I thought a return the Atlantic in an updated and polished form might be a nice addition.
But after reading this kind of feedback from Amazon I'm not sure
1) The DVD must be in the machine for you to play.
2) You 100% must have a constant Internet connection to play and it must be fast broadband - this is not stated when you buy!
3) You must sign in to the Ubisoft server before the game will even start - this means you can't always play when you want to!
4) Your saved games are not stored on your PC, they're stored on the Ubisoft server - Everywhere you look, you're limited and controlled by Ubisoft!
5) The controls are different to previous versions and there are no tutorials to teach you how to control the sub. (no Sub School or training modes)
6) You are the captain of the sub and you move around in the first person, like the shoot em up games; totally pointless on a submarine!
And it's not the only one either, lots of complaints online about these same issues above.
Does anyone here have it? I noticed it was due to be released on Steam last week (even stated as being unlocked in a "few hours") on the day, but it's disappeared from Steam. Only the preview trailer remains. So known issues perhaps?

From what I have read it sounds like they have massively missed the mark with this one. It is apparently very buggy and has a clunky interface.
I don't think I'll bother with it, unless the subsim guys come out with something as good as the Grey Wolves mod was for SH3 - that really transformed the game.
