I've been invited to go along to a breakfast event at The Mulberry Inn on 21st March in Chiddingfold near Guildford and I heard that it's gonna be pretty good. I think PH did one there a couple of years ago. Did anyone go? I'm going to bring my kids and it will take me an hour or so to get there (not easy with two young uns) and they would love to see something special. Can someone tell me what its like and is the place kid friendly??

Hi, my dad and uncle went to this last year and took my old 355 and porsche 993. Its a pub which is owned by chris evans so he should be there, he was last year and had a good look round and sat in my 355. Apparently there is lots of nice cars there and got very busy last year, so should be good again this year.
Im hoping to make it there but if i cant my dad, brother and uncle will be there in my gallardo, along with my old cars (look out for them)

Here's a link for last years meet,(the 355 at the start was my one smile

Thanks Georged. It looks like there was some great cars - especially like your number plate, that one should be easy to spot! If I see it I will come and say hi. what lambo have you got?

Im def coming now, I showed the pictures to the kids and they are really excited (nearly as much as I am!). Do you have to register a car if you want to show it or can you just show up on the day? I called the Mulberry direct but they are not actually organising the cars!? It would be great if I could park in the main area -I got a V8 Vantage - but then got to choose one kid over the other! Daddy or chips but in reverse! Maybe should just slum it and bring the Saab.

I've eaten at the Mulberry many times and it is kid friendly - large garden too.

I was going to say that the good people of Chiddingfold will be overjoyed at this being publicised on here but then noticed it's in the public domain anyway:

The last one was tightly organised by someone on here. It was strictly invite only, as there is very limited space there. It could be different this time round though, I don't know.

Yeah come over and say hi, I've got a yellow gallardo now. I'll keep an eye out for either of your cars. I do believe that this one is an invite only, however if the people on here are not going to be able to make it, maybe they will let you use there name to park in the main area?? Hopefully see you on the 21st.

The event details are all over facebook as well so I would expect a rather large crowd to say the least! Parking could be interesting as well....

I'm registered to display also (ta Bachithumbup) and think they have reached capacity for the display cars now.

Hope the weather is as nice as the weekend just passed; if it is then the AC Cobra will be out for it's first airing of the yeardriving

I also wouldn't mind knowing, it is shown on the website for the pub so I'd assume anyone could come down ?

Parking in the pub is strictly limited to those who have registered.

Parking in the immediate area isn't great and parking on the road will block traffic so that's a no no. However i've asked the question and have been reliably informed that there is a parking area for those not on the list about 5 mins or so away and there will be marshals on hand to direct people there.

I see no reason not to come down as long as you dont mind a bit of a walk when you get there.

Well it will be interesting to see if this happens again! Due to people ignoring the fact that the A283 is supposed to be a clearway and parking all the way along it either side of the pub! This caused an Accident where a car rear ended another waiting for on coming traffic in his lane to pass frown Mr Plod was not too happy! Nice to see a great line up of cars, but the event was a lot busier than the year before! There were also a lot more small children this time round and I was horrified to see a small Indian child throwing the car park gravel at a rather nice red F430!

On the + side the sun came out smile
