I take it Fairmile Lane is stacked with nice properties then - as you say - begs the question: Why?

Probably was doing it for years and years - has insider trading ALWAYS been illegal? Maybe more turned a blind eye then. Old habits die hard.

Maybe he was a member of Lloyds and lost it all - you never know.

Probably grassed up when he either a) didnt pay his dues or b) when he annoyed someone.

Most people are caught when they open their mouth too much. Perhaps that c).
