Cold Toast..

Is it just me?

I don't do warm toast, if I toast it and haven't got 20 minutes for it to cool I'll just stick it in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Just butter on it too, but that has to have been in the fridge too.

I've been called weird multiple times now you see.

I refuse to eat cold toast, awful stuff. I'll reheat cold tea too, makes me feel physically sick drinking it when it's gone cold.

Toast simply has to be piping hot, with lashings of butter on top and a generous helping of marmite.

Tea however is at its finest when lukewarm... they think I'm weird in the office as I never allow the kettle to boil before making my tea.

I love cold toast. Has to be cheapo white bread allowed to go slightly chewy, mind.

I think this is because my parents were health nuts, and the only time I ever got to eat white bread as a child was toast in seaside B&Bs on holiday.

Another vote for cold toast. I'll leave it in the fridge for 10 mins, reminds me of Boarding school breakfast! Nothing was ever warm, not even the cereal

Wouldn't you be better off boiling it then letting it cool? Kill off any bacteria in the water and would help dissolve the sugar and infuse with the tea I'd imagine. I certainly don't drink mine piping hot but I always allow the kettle to boil then patiently wait for it to cool

You're right I'm sure, but that would require getting out of bed a few minutes earlier in order to let the tea cool and I can't be doing with that.
Mornings are planned to a strict JIT routine in my house with no time to spare for spurious waiting LOL

However, one odd food anomaly that I do like: Beef & Tomato Pot Noodle (it gets worse)... when the water hasnt quite mixed with the powder at the bottom of the pot
