Sytner Sunningdale or Woods Hampshire for Servicing?
Discussion
My E39 is up for it's major service
And an MOT too.
Plus I need to have a crank sensor replaced.
And I need to have the drivers window fixed.
Feck, this is going to be expensive
Sytner Sunningdale is almost on my doorstep, and Woods of Hampshire is on my work doorstep (their service dept).
Of the 2, is there one that stands out more than the other (in a positive way)?
I had a bad experience with Sytner Sunningdale many years ago, so have avoided them at all costs. But most of the feedback I see now is generally quite positive.
Many thanks in advance,
K

Charlie,
Yeah - I'm all up for CPC - and passed that onto Brother Kinky to take his motor to.
The downside is the distance. I'd need to get it over on a weekday - and have the luxury/benefit of having 2 MDs on my home/work doorsteps.
The reason for going for the MD is that my usual mechanic is not up to it anymore (for other reasons).

You must work very near me then, Bartley Wood Business Park by any chance?
I've used Woods for a service and some warranty work and they aren't bad, but not great.
On the goood side the service went smoothly with me supplying my own oil and the clutch was changed under warranty with no hassle including a free courtesy car, but despite being asked not to wash the car the last time it went in, they still washed it and put an 8" scratch in the paintwork above the fuel filler that took a lot of buffing out, which annoyed me somewhat.
Also one of the service desk blokes rubs me up the wrong way so I try to avoid him if possible, he just comes across as rather condescending and dismissive of anything you say, especially if you're a technically savvy owner who probably knows more than he does.
