On the outside, it seems like looking after sick/injured animals could be a rewarding thing to do. I know there is also a less glamorous side to this as well.

Or I could just move to the UK or Australia, get a job doing whatever, have some fun and settle down.

Your thoughts.

Also, I have never heard a male vet tech/nurse.

I'd say 95% of vets/techs are female (more compassionate?) so at least you will have that novelty on your side. At the very least you'll be like a kid in a sweet shop!

Come over work in a bar and see what happens. You can stay with v8mate seeing as he's being so helpful tonight. smile

Ex-GF was a vet nurse, she absolutely loved the job, but as with all fun jobs pay was pants.

My sister's 33 and back at uni studying to be a vet - no reason you couldn't do similar

Apart from the massive financial burden, the 5 years it takes, the ffvckn hard work, the risk of not passing, then the huge debt at the end. That's before you've even got on the coursesmile

Nice idea though.
