But made worse, so, so, so much worse when it turns out the track that's been asked for, and murdered, a couple of times, was a number 1 in most of Europe back in the mid 90s.

Paphos is largely a hole. Saved only by Tomb of the Kings. Do hire a car and get yourself up to Kykkos Monastery which is excellent.
I was lucky enough to be there last year for a wedding - no DJ thank goodness. I never imagined it would be quite the all day breakfast / Sky Sports hell-hole it has become.
