TomTom...how do i stop it directing?

When the device is in navigate mode...how can i switch it to non-navigate (i.e - just the map)

Seems the only way i have found is to tell it to navigate somewhere new then cancel that instruction????

there's a "Clear Route" button, but I can't remember where

On a 720 it's on the 3rd screen of the navigate section.

Took me a while to find it and now I can have it on without it trying to navigate to the previous address.

couldnt find a button but discovered pressing the voice comms button and yelling CLEAR does the job!

clear route option is in about the third screen, tap the screen when on the map and press the right arrow a couple of times. I'm suprised they didn't put it earlier in the menu.
