new bike decissions
Discussion
Started getting quite serious about my biking early last year, so dusted off my old giant xtc se and started to get out. Have been thinking about new bike for a while now and have been giving the chance to join the cycle scheme threw work, We have a limit of £1500 to spend and was wondering what peoples opinions on what to choose are? I mainly ride old bridal paths and such with the odd trip to hamsterly thrown in, also bike needs to be hardtail.
Any help would be great.

Strictly speaking under the rules of the schemes you can order any bike on sale in the UK. That said there are a lot of rules that aren't followed.
As for which bike how about a FS to go with the HT? Giant or Boardman are very good value. Or just get a replacement Giant XTC?

as roman sys, depends on the restrictions you have re shops but it also depends if you want a more racey orientated xc hardtail, in which case I would go for a stumpjumper or the giant xtc or if you want something a bit beefier in which case the whyte 905 would be near the top of my list.
you should be able to get something more than adequate from trek or lapierre for around a grand too.
