AJP Battery

What is the minimum spec battery for an AJP? Cold cranking Amps etc?

Well the original Type 075 battery had the following spec, so anything better. Getting one that fit's is the hard bit

Cold Cranking Amps 570
Ampere Hours 60

I've just got one from Hexham Horseless Carriages, 570 CCA and 70AH, it's a Platinum 069. If you call them, ask for Richard, he knows which one you will need. Just remind them it has to be 200mm high, max height.

SO if I had more cca but less ah than recomended what would be the outcome?

It'd stand less time cranking the motor over. Good to save weight, but you can't let the battery discharge much before it can't start the car. The racers choice.

More CCA and less AH, means it would have more cranking power - ie it would spin the engine faster - but it wouldn't crank for as long.
By the way the maximum height of a battery you can fit is 210mm, that's with the bottom battery tray removed.

Thanks for your help guys. Not worried about size as it's for the race car. Sits where your passengers would. Managed to get one at 9 kg. 3.5 less than the last one!
