355 F1 spider, buying problems?
Discussion
Well a common problem with 355's is rust on the buttress area (where the roof meets the rear wheel arch) but being a spider that problem doesn't exist. I think the main thing with spiders is the roof. Just make sure it’s in full working o0rder because I think they can be expensive to fix.
Oh and by a manual

As said check the roof, with all 355's check for fluid leak from clutch area as the slave cylinders are prone to leaking,
go for an F1, much more modern than the old fashioned manual
btw the low mileage one at Simon Furlonger is a stunning car, I've known the car for a number of years

So other than a decent roof and obvious service history there isn't really anything to watch out for other than condition etc?
I assume you mean over a Berlinetta rather than period? If you mean what to look out for with 355s in general then start reading - A search on here will help, also visit www.Clubscuderia.com
& www.the355.com (excellent buyers guide).
They are reliable if looked after but they still have numerous weaknesses and issues that will have been addressed or are likely to be needed in future.
Keep on top of everything and you should be fine but they're not cheap to run!
