What is with these retarded fking dipsts? Last August they decided to launch a new online postage system, It was so st & didn't even fking work that they took it down around midday and reverted back to the old system. Yesterday they reluanched it, same fking st only this time it kind of works only it is STILL full of bugs. An organisation the size of Royal Mail can not do a fking IT update in the space of 7 MONTHS! I've juts had a reply to my email which says.....

"I have sent a copy of your email to the Online Postage development team as a suggestion.
We are currently looking into the issues that have been raised with the new system and the fault should be rectified shortly."

Here's a fking suggestion, tell them to get off their fat fking lazy ass holes and make the system simply fking work-the useless s. How hard can it really be to add some new options while retaining the basic functionality that is the return address on a ttting label?

Oh, & also tell them not to try fking fixing it on a LIVE site eh? I've had the ttting thing tell me i need to fill in a customs form as i am sending an item outside of the EU, last time i fking checked LONDON was in the EU.

4.5/10

Used the word "fking" too often, variation would have gained a higher mark.

These babies didn't need an 'IT update':

I think a lot of lessons could be learned by looking back not forwards and keeping things simple.

Let me guess

- did you try and upload a logo and wonder where it went?
- did you input the customers address and have the screen tell you "please edit the address because it is too long", all because their silly website automatically duplicated the first line of the address?
- perhaps you hit print expecting the nice Adobe print preview showing exactly where the lable was going to be printed, only to be confronted with it attempting to stretch one label across an entire sheet of 4 labels?
- perhaps then you decided to cancel the transaction and wonder where the refund button - mentioned in the online help - was located?

Yeah - had my fill of them over the last 24 hours.

Had my fill of the post office too - my parcel was 3g over weight and they would not let me pay the extra 20p over the counter and generally would not help me because I did not buy the postage from them and online postage printing is hurting our business and yadda yadda yadda

I share your pain

hehehe, compared to last August my problems are small, at least i could print this time! My main gripe is with it not storing the return address. Honestly though, what was wrong with the old system??(apart from slow downs & st archive search).Did you get the nice email telling you about the new system AFTER you had discovered it anyway?! Have you had the nice email reply to your moans? I wonder if we will be back on the old system again in the morning????!!!!..........................

I used the old fashioned approach of telephoning them, figuring if their website was fooked, what were the chances of an email getting through or being responded to.

If the call queue is full it automatically directs you to an answer phone so I hung up and redialled. After 3 or 4 attempts I got through to someone and they dealt with the refund very quickly.

I've still not received an email about the "new" site, I just discovered it when I logged in a couple of days ago. I'm still yet to have it successfully upload a logo, and I love the way it tells you what file format the logo needs to be *after* you press the upload button and your upload has failed because you sent the wrong format.

Have noticed the address database seems fooked too! Always says address not matched. They need to swap the "input address manually" & "continue" buttons around IMO too as i keep clicking on input address manually when i want to continue! Honestly, who has done this system for them as i would think a big bking is on the hozizon..........

fking hell, how useless are they?!

"Unfortunately my last email seems to have been sent to the "don't really care at all" pile as NOTHING has been done to rectify the issues with the new online system.

This week we have been greeted with new errors, half the time the "find address" tab does not work, we are greeted with the following error :-

Error
statusCode: 500
message: null
requestURI: /portal/rmgroup/apps/templates/html/rm/royalmail-shared_page_template.jsp
servletName: PageTemplateDispatchServlet
exceptionType: class javax.servlet.ServletException
exception: null
stackTrace:

The save return address STILL does not work but with an added new twist, the bloody thing now says the address, that used to work fine (on the old system AND the new system), is now TOO long for the space provided. When you go to edit the address it then shows the address WELL inside the space provided!

To be honest I am sick to death of Royal Mail, if the website isn’t down you are on strike or managing to lose/damage items.

Please ensue this email gets to somebody senior on your IT team as this is an absolute JOKE.

Regards"

About the only plus point is they have moved the fking find address tab even if it doesn't work!
