Getting past the pen-pushers
Discussion
I want to write to Boris Johnson. I've got an amazing idea and I need to make sure it gets right in front of him.
So how do you get past the team of idiot letter-writers who 'protect' senior politicians, whether Mayors like Boris or the PM/Cabinet Ministers?
On the relevant website it says:
Contacting the Mayor:
Boris Johnson
Mayor of London
Greater London Authority
City Hall
The Queen's Walk
More London
London SE1 2AA
By email: mayor@london.gov.uk
but then goes on to say:
Note that the GLA Public Liaison Unit deals with all enquiries and correspondence on behalf of the Mayor.
How do I reach the 'main man'?

Yeah. You and all the other thousands of nutters yeah? Oh sorry, I forgot, you're "not like the rest of them" but that's what they all say. You'll have to use the same channels as the others as they are designed for people like you who think they are special.
HTH.
PS - this isn't meant as a personal attack, I'm just explaining how you'll appear to the mayor and the others around him.
I've managed to bypass the pen pushers in the past. I just wrote to my MP, and asked him to help with an issue I had (not very interesting, but related to HM Revenue and Customs) and as a result got a letter back from my MP, one from Alistair Darling, and and one from winky himself, pledging to help.
Still took another year to sort it out though.

British Embassy...They always employ locals as their first line of defence and are often programmed to be somewhat difficult. They want to give you a form etc.
"I need to recind my citizenship" however does not have a form, or didn't.
The local shuffles off in defeat and calls a Brit.
He buzzes me in, smiles and says "you bu66er, you beat our system, coffee"
"Yes please."
