Iphone/itunes question

Hello
i have bought an app on my computer from itunes. When I plug my iphone in it syncs but does not sync the app. Does anyone know what's going wrong?

Plug the phone in, then click on it it iTunes, go to the app page and tick the app, should sync it then.
