I've lost some channels on "FreeSky"
Discussion
I've got an old Sky box connected to the telly in the bedroom. The box doesn't have a viewing card in it, but until recently, it's given me "enough" channels to be going on with - the big five terrestrials (and their subsidiaries) and a few others - less than Freeview, but still sufficient for a bit of pre-sleep watching.
However, flicking through the channels earlier this week, I've noticed that a lot of the channels are no longer available. ITV has gone, as have all the Five USA channels (but not Five itself) and yet I still have E4 etc.
What's that all about then?

When I stopped my Sky I ran the box without the card as I had heard that after 3 months you would have missed the kill signal and I would get to keep Sky+ functionality when I reinserted the card.
I had the same problem as you and started to lose the main terrestrial channels.
Seems in order to have FreeSky you need the latest card which I think Sky charges £20 for.
