buzzing noise

hi

i hear quite a loud buzzizng noise sometimes that seems to come from the rear of the car, noticable when i'm stationary probabaly due to less engine noise. i'm pretty sure its not the fuel pump as i hear that when i start the car and the other noise is much louder. any ideas? oh and nope i dont have tinnitus!

My money on the fuel pump.. Most make more noise when tank is near empty.. Pump also make more noise when they are on their way out,,If you have tinnitus! hope its abbey titmus i could suffer that,, LOL

cool i reckon that's it as i am very low on petrol and often tend to dice with running on empty!

Not from the rear of the car but you sometimes get the buzzing from the region of the heater fan blower if you have the controls set very low and there's not enough current to turn the motor.

interesting i filled up and can still hear the buzzing although it is difficult to judge where it's coming from as if i move my head slightly i dont hear it as much. ah i'm not gona worry....hey whats the worst that can happen hehe
