I'm after a laptop/ netbook and thought i'd ask you trusty lot for some advice. I'm not that up on technology so all I need is something simple for the following tasks:

I spend most of my 10 hours at work sat in a car, so needs to be small and portable with good battery life. Whilst at work I want to be able to browse the net and also do some simple work on word.

It needs to be able to connect to my wireless network at home and also have decent storage. There won't be any gaming on it but may watch dvd's on it when bored at work.

Rough price £300 ish

Thanks - looking forward to your suggestions

Netbooks don't have DVD drives so that's out. Most of the smaller formed laptops don't. Alternatively, you could purchase an external drive.

Well, I can live without DVD's, could always download them!

Recently bought a new version of their mini-10 from Dell for about £230 inc. delivery. Does just what I want it to do - 3hrs battery life upgradeable to 6hrs with a larger battery. Small. lightweight, wifi, etc. As said previouly CD/DVD extra for around £50. I use it all over the world without any problems.
