Urraco won't start
Discussion
All,
Had a nice drive yesterday in my P300 Urraco, cleaned it and put back in the garage. Today it won't start; i've checked the fuel, the pump seems to be working ok but it doesn't seem to be getting any fuel to fire up.
Anything anyone suggest I can try - does it have a fuel cut off switch or something ?
thanks
SR

... you aren't relying of the clock that claims to tell you how much fuel you have actually telling you anything like the truth are you?
... when was the last time you put fuel in?
... when did you last check under the fuel tank for a puddle of petrol?
... you will be aware that petrol is very expensive these days and the chances of getting access to your fuel tank being at all difficult for a fuel thief very slight indeed.
but more seriously:
... ticking fuel pumps do not a running Lambo make on their own - sounds like a break in the electric plumbing somewhere - maybe a fuse blown, maybe more than one.
... battery condition might mean there isn't enough power in there to turn the starter motor and the fuel pumps being quite diddy motors really don't take much zapjuice to run at all and they always seem very enthusiastic to say the least.
... my 1973 Jarama had/has a similar goferrit fuel pump but no starter motor though door lights and even dashboard lights seem to work otherwise.
... I hope your problem is a knackered fuse, that way mine may well be too!!

Possibly flooded - easily done.
Suggest you remove rear four plugs to check.
If ANY are wet remove all eight and clean.
If none of the rear bank are wet check the front four.
Ignition on, wait for ticking to slow, 3 or four pumps on the accelerator, wait five seconds, depress the clutch and turn the key!
