track insurance
Discussion
Guys
I've been wondering about this myself.
I found this link below - have to say the best option seems to be a specialist track day insurer for the ring and I'll check that out - I don't suppose that will cover 3rd party though!
Anyone know of any insurers that don't have the unrestricted toll road type clause in their policy?
Cheers

It's really not looking promisisng re 3rd party insurance.
I just tried Competition Car Insurance (was recommended elsewhere for the 'ring). They won't cover the toll road public days.
They recommended this group http://www.nurburgmotorsport.com/Insurance.html but checking out their website shows it doesn't cover 3rd parties, only damage to barriers etc.
Anyone got any good ideas?

I am insured with Hagerty who are based at Silverstone. They cover track days I believe for 10% of your premium. Not sure if that's for outside of the UK but worth a call. I pay £600 for my insurance and that is after totalling my first Noble. (Sadly), with a total claim against me of approx £35K!

RobYou're right re Hagerty and track cover at 10% and they do cover Spa - they won't touch the 'ring though
