Pretty rare in my experience too Quinny . . Mine have been going fine for 77k now, but I'm considering changing them this year rather than having to do them on the side of the road in the Alps in the summer . .

could be the wrong bearings packed in the right box,, Can it be checked for size against a bearing casing thats been removed,,

Now those are manual workers hands look at the build up around those thumbs,but back on topic i fitted 2 rear SKF kits last year as part of my rear brake upgrad Quinny no problems,however this is one i have come across at work on escort and fiesta rears its almost like the cups and bearings are not matched or been mixed up at the packers its rare but does happen,just put it down to experience
