Help with 7MC and DVB-S set up

I have a K-World DVB-S 100 in a PC, that is running on Windows 7 Ultimate.
I can't seem to be able to set up the TV. I have been through the wizard and through the manual set up and neither work.
If I search on Astra it will find several hundred new channels, usually the same channel. I did have 300 copies of BBC1 Scotland. The guide is downloaded and the signal is strong on the satellite. If I put a manual channel in it shows the signal strength is fine. However it does not add it to the guide, or anywhere.
I am just wondering if anyone knows what I am doing wrong?
The signal is fine, as I can watch it on the KWorld software and MediaPortal.
