Hi all.
We are about to start our new extension at the back of our house.
The proposed extension measures aprox 36sq m.
We would like to use underfloor heating to the new rooms.
My question is, will our existing oil fired combi boiler cope with the extra rooms or will need replacement for a newer better one? The boiler is a Grant Combi 70 if that's any help.

Thanks
Panos.

That depends on how accurately it was sized originally and on the insulation in the new bit amongst other things, Panos.

But how can I tell? Is there any quidence for the size of boilers and the size of the house?

Thanks.

Your Grant Combi 70 is 70,000 btu or about 23 kW. This is easily enough for 300 square metres, so unless your house is the size of Buckingham Palace you should be OK!
