Now that there is no refueling, who will be the first team to get the tactics wrong and run out before the end?
Also, will any of the mid / back grid teams try and run one team car light, knowing they won't finish in a bid to get more television time to encourage the potential sponsors? A nice light Virgin / Lotus passing some of the more established teams wouldn't do them any harm..

Not sure there'll be many actually run out, but I think you will see plenty having their races 'compromised?' by having to conserve fuel at specific times.
Sorry I can't make my mind up whether it will really be a 'compromise' or a 'strategy'? Expect plenty of spin.... lies, lies & more damned lies!

Maybe later in the season, at first they would be better to get some serious reliability testing in.
That's what I was thinking, but they must have done some 'full load' testing pre-season and now is the time to sell the advertising space. Running a light car through the grid from the start then dropping out half way through with "fuel problems" wouldn't do the teams reputation any harm, especially if the other team car goes on to finish, can't wait!!!Paul

Ferrari will run out of fuel on the last lap, but after six months of court battles/bribes it will be decided that the race was too long and they'll be awarded their win.

Then McL will copy the idea for the next race and claim they thought of it themselves

Does every single F1 topic have to degenerate into jibes/jokes/references to Ferrari-McLaren scandals? This thread has nothing to do with such comments, yet still they get thrown in for the millionth time.
Give it a break lads. Let's talk about something more interesting...
If you want something more interesting it will not bet the race. Boring. Give it a break lads. Let's talk about something more interesting...
Paint and drying pops into mind.
