Is my camera f****d?

I dropped my Panasonic TZ7 today. Aaaaaaaargh!

As you can see from the photo below I've bent the ring round the lens.



Can this be repaired or is it f****d? When I switch it on the zoom will not work and there is a zoom error message on the screen, also it will not fully retract when switched off.

I'd say you've got nowt to lose by trying to push it back and see what happens.

Stick it in a vice and squash it back to something approximating round so the lens might be able to zoom?

Could be time for a claim on the house insurance, assuming you have Accidental Damage cover.

Vice or gclamp. Can't exactly make it worse.
