Sadly only over police funding:

POLICE chiefs were last night facing stiff opposition to an inflation-busting 24pc rise in the amount households pay for the service in North Wales.
The rise - nearly £30 a year for Band D council tax payers - would bring the total increase to nearly 150pc over five years.
Yet crime figures suggest very little change in the force's ability to fight crime over the same period.
North Wales Police Authority will discuss how much to charge the region's rate payers - in the form of a precept on top of the council tax - on Friday.
Proposals range from a 17.52pc rise, which Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom says would cause the force serious concern, to the recommended 23.46pc rise, which he says would allow him to increase the number of beat bobbies.
But Gwynedd councillor and police authority member Charles Jones said he would not support any of the four options put forward.
"Even without the current recommendation, over the past five years since 1998-99 the police precept has risen 117pc, compared with the Gwynedd County Council tax rise of 38.5pc, and that is totally unreasonable," he said.
Coun Jones said he felt the Western Division had not had its fair share of Community Beat Managers and it was unfair to expect council taxpayers to pick up the bill for policing services.
"The fault does not lie with the Chief Constable or the Police Authority, but with the Home Office for not giving us enough money to do the job," he said.
"They are not being honest. They say they are giving police authorities 3.5pc more but that is only £2m, which is swallowed up in pension payments.
"We have reached the stage where we have to stand up and say 'enough is enough'. If we don't call a halt to these massive increases now we will find ourselves in the same situation next year."
