(The title is a joke.)

On my way home I have just encountered a jogger. The encounter could have been terminal for the jogger (in a Jeep vs. jogger contest, the Jeep always wins). This jogger ran (rather than jogged) out of a small, unlit park across an unlit road right in front of me. He was dressed in a very dark track-suit, very dark shoes and was very dark skinned (can I say that?). I had no idea he was there until he ran out into my headlights! The "bleeding idiot" very nearly was!

Not two miles further on, a cyclist with no lights and also dressed all in very dark clothing and with a hood, turned out of a driveway right across my path.

Of course, had I hit either of them ... I would have been to blame!

What is it with these idiots? Do they have a death wish?

Why don't BRAKE (et al) turn their attentions to this area of road safety and bleat as loudly for cameras to photograph pedestrians and cyclists who go out at night dressed in black? ... Yes, I know the photograph wouldn't turn out!

I'm thinking of installing a 'police style' camera in my car, so if any idiot runs or rides into my car, I'll have some evidence to proove my innocence.

But before I hand the video tape over to the police, I'll better delete the bits where I'm doing 150mph

There's a bloke who walks his black dog down one of the lanes near where I live about the same time every night. Annoyingly it's the time I get back from college. He always wears a black coat and dark trousers, so there's me driving along at 60 quite happily when this figure looms out of the darkness That happenned every time I drove back from college for a couple of weeks, now he uses a torch.
BTW, when I go jogging at dusk I always wear my Hi-Vis waistcoat , speed kills my arse.

Wonder if your chap is the same chap another "WildCat" got his claws into on another forum!! He advised him to buy a torch at the time! (Incidentally, Familie Wildkatze have always used torches and worn something pale in winter - from infancy!)

Amazing how tetchy muesli munchers get when you dare suggest that they follow and obey the Highway and Green Cross codes!
