WWW.dpreview.com has some fairly active forums split by camera models, lens talk, lighting, etc.
Of late there seems to be more and more arguing over which lenses are best from people owning none of them and preferring to argue review stats rather than get out and take photos! worth aok though.

Similar banter to PH, and it's predominantly UK as well, so no problems with dissimilar senses of humour as can sometimes happen on US based forums. Quite an active forum, so useful if you really enjoy your photography.

I'd like to find one that doesn't talk about equipment at all and just focuses (pun intended) on the end result
This^
Technical talk can really swamp photography. Would be nice to find a place to look at inspirational pictures.
I envy designers, There are so many good, creative design forums.
Can't believe nobody's posted up www.photo.net yet. I think it's one of the best websites, period. It's run by someone that knows their beans and 99.9% of the contributions are stunning. Could waste days on it. (Have wasted days on it!)

unashamed plug for the Royal Photographic Society... it's all terribly polite so limited banter. But there are some beautiful pieces of work on show.

, but beware the 'classifieds' sections. It can become additctive and expensive!
