I need to exchange large photo files, so email attachments is out of the question.

I'm looking for one of the free easy to install and use Drop Boxes.

Can anyone post me a link so that I can get started please?
Thanks very much.

ETA - Should have explained a bit more. Great Applications, this one puts a folder in your my documents, and this will replicate onto the server and with other computers you have it installed on.

Morning Tim,
I wasn't expecting such a quick response but PH'rs are great like that, Thanks.

A quick question I forgot to ask in the OP... would this drop box link enable me to work with different drop box programs on other computers? (so long as each is 'agreeing' to the other)

Or would the person/computer I wish to work with have to have installed exactly the same drop box program using exactly the same link?
Thanks very much.

"Dropbox" as linked above is a great service

You install the client software on all the PC's you use, and you're able to drag and drop files into a storage area which gets synchronised between all your PCs. It appears just like a folder under My Documents.

You can also upload/download files to your storage area from a web browser (if you are at a web cafe, locked down PC etc)

The storage area is individual to your login, but you can share folders to other Dropbox members from the Dropbox website.

I just registered, looks pretty good now they have integration like that. I'd looked at it way back when it first started and thought, well I've got web space and ftp, but it's way better now. Seems using your link there gave me more space, even though I won't use it, but thanks! Do you get any more for each person who you refer or something?

Yes it is a pretty good program. Very reliable and negates the need for memory sticks as it is running on all my machines.

Yes using my link you get an additional 250mb on top of the original 2Gb. I also get 250MB (upto 3Gb) for each referral.

IF the 2Gb+ is not enough then they have 50 or 100Gb packages which are not free.
