BlackBerry Battery Issue

Over the last couple of weeks my Bold seems to have developed a battery problem. It seems to be fine down to 45% full and then it takes a nano second to drop to zero and switch itself off.

Is this a known issue and any resolution available like new battery?

It does sound like the battery is shot but before shelling out have you changed anything? Mine was a 2G sim and when I swopped it for a 3G sim the battery life halved. I now carry a fully charged spare battery just in case.

No changes made. I sometimes have it connected to my broad band when at home and I understand this can eat batteries so haven't done that recently and it's still doing this fast run down from 45% to 0%.

I just called Vodafone, who are now in Bombay by the way, and they are sending me a new battery under warranty so we'll see if that fixes things.

I'd take it to your supplier and get them to check it. It could be the motherboard (Or the phone equivalent) But either way,they should be able to help.

I've had the same issue, having to use a Case Mate Fuel to keep going during the day, will have to speak to Orange to see if they'll swap my battery out.
