It's not coming back due to the constant moaning every week by people who still watch it even though they go on and on about how terrible it is.
I hear it is going to be replaced by a new format of Gardeners Question Time complete with studio audience in a big greenhouse sited an old farm where various horticultural challenges will be attempted.

Jason Plato talked about 5th Gear returning when he was interviewed at the Autosport Show.
Said it was going back to it's roots with only him, Tiff and VBH presenting.
Sounds like a good start. I hope it continues beyond that.Said it was going back to it's roots with only him, Tiff and VBH presenting.

I'm not sure what it is but I want to punch Plato in the face. Maybe it's something to do with his big nose or his obvious skill and career in motorsport that makes me angry.Said it was going back to it's roots with only him, Tiff and VBH presenting.
The only thing worserer is Tiff who I'd like to electrocute while pulling his toe nails out. (obviously in between shocks)
VBH is just a dog.
Bring back Ford and that annoying Ginger bloke.
can't be any worse than "Lambing Live" - WTF was all that about? on prime time TV!!
Seriously though and back on topic, TG 2010 - if they make more films like the Romania Epic I'll be happy. I'd also like to see proper category tests that don't just take place on the test track.
e.g., Ultimate Hot Hatch, Best £20k driver's car (both used and new), Best "Family" driver's car (£20-£30k), Best £20-30k coupe, Best £40-60k Performance Car etc etc - i.e., more focus on "attainable" cars vs lots of supercars. Of course, I'd still like to see a good smattering of the exotic machinery, but not as much as we have been force fed thus far....
Also, think its time to ditch the set-ups/ + maybe Star in a Reasonably Priced car.....

Some good ideas. I like the one from General Gassing, where it was suggested that they drive around in convertibles and see how much abuse you get based on different cars..
Star in the car is way overdue. Cool Wall should be a more regular feature and like you say categories- best in class etc. hell, even good old road tests! Nice to have the occasional exotica but not week in week out..
