After some quick research it seems that Michael Dell's direct email address is Michael@dell.com and NOT Michael_dell@dell.com as a lot of websites are saying...

But there are some more here http://consumerist.com/2007/11/email-addresses-for...

David Marmonti is Dell's senior vice president and president for Europe so he is probably the best person to try and contact if you are in England, his appears to be david_marmonti@dell.com

Hope this helps

Head office is no use. I intend to send an email to people who may actually give a st rather than some useless idiot scriptreader at one of dells offices.

I suggest that you try and get hold of Michael Dell then... as he owns the company, or David Marmonti, but i cant guarantee they will bother replying

Try sending an old-fashioned letter instead of an e-mail. There's more chance of one marked as "Personal" getting close to the recipient's office than being automatically filtered like an e-mail will.

I dont think the guy at the top of the company is really going to care about a single end-user tbh... but good luck!

i'm sure if you were an organisation wanting to buy 10,000 laptops, or 5,000 servers, then i would agree...

but if your just wanting to spend £500 on a Latitude, he isnt going to be that bothered in all honesty.

yes, a CEO of a company making $61 Billion is going to really care about 1 disgruntled end customer..

OP hasn't said he's a little end customer.

Or if it does get to CEO etc wouldn't he just get one of his PAs to deal with it.. But its alot better than some little fish customer service person?

no, but the head of the UK or Europe would be a lot more interested than the CEO's PA...

Fidgits i am not a huge buyer of dell products so from that perpective you are correct. However Dell has a very serious problem on the sales side which IS costing them thousands if not hundreds of thousands or more.

In 06 I looked at buying a dell laptop but due to dell putting loads of obstacles in the way of the order process i cancelled my order and went elsewhere.

I now find myself in need of another new laptop and yet again Dell have turned it into a huge headache and it took me 7 days just to place my order. I am also now looking at a further wait of between 2 and 5 weeks for delivery. Now i can assure you I will never buy nor recommend dell to anyone again as i find it unacceptable to offer such a degree of difficulty.

I can also guarantee i am not the only customer who has had the problems i had due to them being a part of order process a lot more people will have gone to dell to buy a laptop and run into their wall of difficulty and due to that ordered from their competition.

Wasn't there someone on here who found the email address for the Head of BT (Ian Livingston) who then sent him an email with regards to an install? I seem to remember him (the member of PH) getting a call from the PA of Mr Livingston and it was all sorted rather swiftly.

I managed an hour long phone call from the head of EMEA customer services of a rather large Anti Virus company following an extensive email detailing the failing of his technical support to call I had logged. We pay for 6000 licences and I wanted answers – I got them, from him.

Whilst I agree with other who say that the Joe Public won't get an answer from the heads of companies, it is worth noting that some of those Joe's will influence monetary spend for where they work (as I do) - ignoring them may be done at the companies peril, especially in IT related stuff where the market is so cutthroat.

Good luck to the OP.
