Hi, can anyone tell me about Porsche coolant, for a 2002 3.6 car? My mate has just changed a water pump on one, and has used long life Audi G12 coolant, as he was told it's essentialy the same as the stuff Porsche use. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

im sure your m8 will be ok,ive no doubt he will not corrode the castings, bleed the system and cold water check it will live.

I would go to the Porsche dealer and buy their coolant concentrate.

The last thing you need is an inhibitor system incompatibility, that will be expensive and difficult to fix.

This link will tell you that a Boxster needs G30, but I would check with your dealer to be safe.
