Heated Windscreen connections

Can anyone who has a heated front screen ine their Cerb tellme me where the connections for it are physicaly. Is it one at either side, or is there a centre connection as well?

A stonechip and crack at North Weald sprint on Sunday means I am going to need to replace my screen and given the fogging problems I have every winther I like the idea of upgrading to a heated one while I am at it!

My Cerb has the heated windscreen as a works option but cannot see any connections unlike the rear window which is obvious.
I assume it is switched on with the rear heater switch as there are no other.

I read somewhere that the windscreen is bonded in with a conductive adhesive.

I will have a close look tonight.

I can't see any connections at all and will look closer under the dash at the weekend if no-one else answers.

How well does it work, AAMOI? Does it do a good job of defrogsting the screen? I've seen them in Fords and the little wires are quite visible as a passenger, maybe they're not distracting when you're driving (?)

Just like the Ford, I find the wires in the glass a bit off putting when in the sun and I haven't noticed any improvement in defrosting which is why I mentioned that I do not know if it is working or not.

If I can find the wires I will clip my DC amp meter to it to prove it is actually on when the rear window heater is on.

If I had the choice I would probably do without like on most cars.

My Mondeo has these - no i don't find them distracting and yes they are very good, will melt frost in less than 30 seconds

My old Mondeo and my 2008 Passat had/have heated screens, both had the connections on the outside i.e. the scuttle area........not sure if this helps.
