...and how did you cope?!

I put down the deposit on the F355 Spider I'm buying about 10 days ago (the inspection was done a day or so before that), but due to it needing a several minor things doing that were negotiated as part of the deal (Ferrari recall, paint, seat reconnolising, annual service etc) I'm STILL waiting to be told the day I can pick it up! Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at the dealer or anything, organising/scheduling these things can take a bit of time I imagine, but all the same I'm jumping out of my skin! I want my car, and it gets worse every time I look out the window and see sunshine!

How long did others have to wait for their new P&J?!

Put down a deposit two weeks ago, and still two weeks away from delivery for me.

Absolutely agonising.

I get very wound up when I'm waiting for Cars to be delivered, more than a couple of weeks I start getting suspicious about what else needed doing to the car.
I bought a Noble a couple of years ago from a dealer down south (who will remain nameless) and he told me I was being unreasonable because two weeks after taking my deposit he would still not commit to a delivery date. Right I'll have my deposit back, No he said you'll wait but would you mind paying the balance on the car (30k). I still eneded up having the car but I'll never go back there.

I waited a month after giving the seller a deposit. I found myself looking for long term weather forecasts, hoping it would be nice for when I picked it up.

Made the decision which one I wanted, phone the guy up, took a big fat cheque around to his house, drove off in the sunshine.... It was December! Fabulous day!

Indeed. No idea why they cant just have the car ready to go. Mine took 2 or 3 weeks, and I'm right be wary though because in those 3 weeks the dealer added 300miles to the clock! I was too excited on delivery day to query it but twas annoying. I think it was because I bought it from Sevenoaks dealer who then drove the car to the Colchester service center and back (despite promising that it'd go on a lorry).

I broke that 3 week period up by visiting the car mid way; which was nice as I hadnt seen it before as I bought it over the phone!
