Been thinking about this since I saw it on Friday, I am quite sure its easily the best looking car on the grid this season, but also the best looking of any modern F1 cars i can think of, its just stunning in my eyes, this is the best pic i could find though so if anyone has better ones please add
It will be interesting to see how it's looks change over the year. MG said they worked with a 20% margin on cooling and "shrink wrapping" of the bodywork should have happened by Barcelona.
I agree though, great colour scheme and nice shape. Looks a bit mid-90s almost.
It's just fantastic seeing that car on the grid once again baring the name "Lotus". I really couldn't care what connection it does or doesn't have with the actual name, it's just great seeing it there.
Yes - that looks like the 1995 Williams so it would have been around 1995 onwards that the flat sided cars started to appear - which was also the time period when the side impact tests were introduced.
If you look at a 1994 or earlier car you will see how rounded the bodies were in comparison.
