Ideal Engines Essex , anyone dealt with them ?
Discussion
following my gf's CrV blowing the headgasket, she decided would want to fix it and keep it for another 2 years . Anyway qoute from a garage to skim the head change water pump belt and others bits comes down to just shy of £1000 . Friend of a friend can do it for £600 althou they both warned me that there may be damage to the block and that could turn in needing a whole new bottom end .
I have turned to Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CR-V-96-01-B20B-ENGINE_W0QQitemZ370310729278QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item56383d4e3e#ht_1615wt_939 ) to see if there are any engines B20b available and these a few from Ideal Engines who say they will pick up my car from my home , fit a new engine + water pump for £750 and give me a 3 month warranty . Is this too good to be true ?
Friend says he doesn't really want to change the whole engine as its a big job and doesnt have time but at a push he may do it
Its a 95' Crv Auto with 60k on the clock , any suggestions ?

Im going to necro this thread, for what i think is a very good reason. I've had dealings with this company recently and at the moment all i can say to anyone thinking of getting a recon from them is RUN AWAY.
They have a very poor rep amongst alot of the scooby forums (Google the name)
Very very poor customer service, ignored requests for callback, ignored emails, difficulty getting someone on the phone etc. The engine they sent as a replacement to my dead one, developed a big end fault within 80 miles of being installed... currently waiting on a warranty replacement being sent out so will update with outcome.
