Who cares?

Ruud Gullit and Graeme Souness in the studio; Jamie: stay at home tonight.

A couple of years ago when some of us(not me you understand) were getting a little excited about the future of Liverpool, Jamie calmly stated that "Liverpool with NEVER win the league with Benitez as manager".

To me he's a Nostradamus type figure.

Big mistake to make the travel agent advert with him and his missus cooing all over each other, he's lining himself to be the next fallen celebrity 'texter'.

He's young fellas, and speaks his mind. Very good footballer too.

I'll agree to watching him on Sky if him and Souness have a full blown punch-up in the studio - live.

Seriously, JR was a decent player in his day, but when you have people who have achieved at the highest level, do we really need him as a correspondent or match summariser (or whatever his official title is) ?

He knows he's out of his depth because he always looks to get his comments qualified by others, "...isn't that right, Ruud?"

I hate him for the same reason, and I am ahead of you in the queue for his missus.

Don't worry, you're both behind the pond life and single cell amoebas.

Gareth Southgate is impressing tonight on ITV. Coming across very well.

Smart bloke isn't he. Wouldn't take his advice on penalty talking though.

Never really minded Jamie, he may well look to get reassurance for his comments, but I think that is just him. He is often quite right in what he says and offers an opinion on current players that is different from other people in the studio bcause he has played with/against a lot of them.

And of course women love him hehe

Bah he's hopeless. Did you see how baggy his suit was!
How can he possibly hope to compete with Jamie 'My trousers are so tight you could count my pubes if you were that way inclined' Redknapp. Literallybiggrin

Actually, for us blokes and the girls who are interested, Southgate is always going to be miles ahead of JR - he has brain cells. However, let's face it, he isn't going to placate/drag in the non-interested women viewers, now is he? Face for radio & all that.
There's also the slight problem of the proper bells he has to work with - ITV really shouldn't be allowed anywhere near televised sport until they realise how crap they are.

I would say he is one of the better one's of a bad bunch

Souness talks crap, Gullit don't have a clue what's going on, Redknapp talks more sense than most

Who needs Cantona when we've got Barry Horne(trider)?

Which pundits do people actually like?

They all annoy me for some reason or another, and personally Jamie seems to be the least annoying.

I nearly like all of them. Apart from:

Andy Townsend - his nose + and his wincey grimace before saying....nothing at all.
Ian Wright - just wrong on so many levels - utter infantile .
Teddy Sheringham - he is a smarmy tool.

Anyone remember when they used to get Cloughie in to pundit in the 80's. Great stuff. All drunken big headed nonsense but entertaining nonsense.

He won a £100,000 contract for a Pizza Hut ad, on the back of that miss....
