That could very well be a resupply mission to that part of the the US Military's Central Command (CENTCOM), possibly routine. While a credible theory, what evidence does the University of London fellow have to declare this preparations for an attack upon Iran?

Posturing, more than genuinely preparing, would be my guess. They do not have the capacity for another invasion, even if Obama was that way inclined.

Media just plain wrong is also a possibility.

You are likely correct regarding the media. However, if the US were to attack Iran, invasion is not what they would wish to do. They would be more likely trying to knock out certain facilities and capabilities.

Now where would I have picked up reasoning that would suggest the U.S. of A. would attempt a delivery like that. Maybe watching the TV show "Cops" when they are smashing doors down when raiding a house.
