Viewing auction properties
Discussion
You only get a half-hour slot to view the property with a gaggle of other people.
I'm off to see one tomorrow - it's in "Need of refurbishment" apparently.
What should I look for to ensure there are no massive bills that could head my way?
I realise the best thing is probably to take a friendly builder, but in the absence of one what can I check for?
- How can I check for damp?
- Structural issues?
I've realise I'm asking such a general question that it's hard to answer! What would you look for in a propery that's difficult to get a survey done on (Due to time and restricted viewing opportunities) before you bid?
Or - is the fact I'm asking these questions a sign I should stay away?
