POV camera, downhill run.
Discussion
Morning chaps.
I thought the more gravity hungry section of this forum might like this wee video I filmed at the last round of the Innerleithen winter series. I'll be taking my cam to most of the races I do this year and putting up a practise run, I can keep posting them in this thread if people appreciate them.

Pretty annoying that I forgot to tuck the toggles from my hoodie in and they dangle around but they are out of the way most of the time.

Practise run from the IXS cup held at Innerleithen.
2nd video, added 28/04/10

Crash from the race above.

Practise run from Glencoe, unfortunately I ran out of skill a little here.

Fort William sweeping run from James (about 5 seconds off qualification for the mens final at the world cup for reference)

great Video!
What camera are you using?
A GoPro HD, but for some reason it hasn't uploaded in HD. I am pretty new to this film making malarky so I have probably messed something up, either rendered it in the wrong format or uploaded it incorrectly, something like that. What camera are you using?
music sucks though!!

The music will always be hated by some. I could have chosen anything, it would never have pleased all.
I came second in the Expert catagory with a run that was 10 seconds faster than that one (race run time was 3:32, that run is a 3:42) Ruaridh Cunningham won the elits with a 3:24 but fastest time of the day was Lewis Buchanan with a 3:23 (only in his first Junior year too, he is going to be a star in a few years. Possible junior world champ I think). I was 12th fastest on the day.
I ride an MSC (pics are in the show off your bike thread, sometime around December I think) and was running Maxxis High Rollers at that race, though my team is hopefully going to be using Michelin tyres this year once they start coming into the country.

Looks good, but have you speeded the film up in a few places?
Errr, no. I can send you the raw MP4 from my cam if you want. What doesn't come accross in the film is how steep it is in places. When its that steep and you get completly off the brakes you speed up quickly. Thanks for the complements guys. I'll update this thread with other tracks as I film them. Should get a Fort William one up at some point once it opens, both the DH track and the red runBliarOut said:
I hated the music at the start, but by the end I just HAVE to have it on my iPhone, what is it?
Tarantula by Pendulum.
Can you get an iSub for the bass?

<Edit> Beaten to it. It's on their album 'Hold Your Colour' Well worth a listen if you like this track.
