Arrrgghh - Help me get my eye in
Discussion
No, not another thread about watching the track ahead etc.
I simply need some supportive words whilst I try and get my rear towing eye into my 944!!!
I got the car back from the bodyshop last week, so weathers picked up, time to go and finish sticking bits on and tidying scruffy bits etc.
The front eye has gone in with a little grease and some colourful language, but the rear one just will not take - what the hell can I do to 'persuade' it home?
Yours Annoyedly

This may sound like a stupid question, but are you sure it's a clockwise thread?
Was just going to suggest that myself! I spent the best part of 5 mins on my hands and knees recently fffin and jeffin trying to do the same on my golf, only to find that it was opposite thread!!

I will speak to the mechanic and take the tow eye with me - see if I can borrow the appropriate jobby to stick in the hole and give it a fighting chance of grabbing a thread.
Cheers!
