Down the road in Pickering I would recommend SM Autocare.
Steve and the boys may not be the cheapest - but are honest and do a proper job. Thats more than can be said for many.
Mercs are his speciality, but he's into rally cars and gets involves in all sorts. There is an immaculate 40's USA truck in there at the moment.
I also take the wifes Honda there for MOT and non service items (pads etc) then take the car to the main dealer just to get a dealer service stamp. Winds them up when they can't cream bucks off me for the stuff they rip you off on.
That's not to say there aren't others around - just my preference.
