Having seen a couple of cars with Image IFX wheels as a reasonable look-a-like for the 5 spoke OZ rims, what do people think of this design for a Wedge?

I know that the spokes are not as rounded as the originals, but I think it's a reasonable substitute.

Not bad but I prefer more air and less alloy in the spoke area.

Darren redwedges wheels looked brilliant.

Darren's car has the IFX wheels, which do look good. However, there's a feature of these wheels that I'm unsure about: the spokes do not blend into the surrounding rim where the bolts are located. There is a straight square edge:

I agree with Rev , IFX the way to go. And they go upto 18's yikes

Anyone got a set of the 18's or 17's IFX on the Wedge, as think Darrens were/are 16's ?

I also love the look of the Image Wheel that is fitted to Ultima's and Jeff Strathams Works SEAC :

I discounted ^^^ these because of the 6 spokes. Do look good on the SEAC though.

these image wheels do look nice, but could never understand the whole idea of trying to copy something. (such as the OZ's).
try find something different that also looks good on a wedge.

I like both Image Wheels styles, both also being deeply dished, which goes some way to countering the otherwise slab-sided appearance of the Wedge.

IMHO the Azevs don't achieve that, and for that reason...I'm out. smile

It took me a very long time to decide on these wheels, they are 16s as I wanted to retain the overall look of the car and 17s 18s just look to big IMHO. I had a set of 5 made just in case, and had Image make the centre caps. Image have a vast range but all wheels are made to order, I went down and talked to them and order these wheels. You can mix and match rims and centres and if there is something you don’t like (like the blunt edge to the spoke) they can change it. The big thing about Image is they know about wheels and cars, they make all the wheels on site, and they care about customer service. You can talk to a proper bloke with dirty hands not some spotty YTS kid reading from a list. All this comes at a price but worth every penny.

Changing wheels has always been a topic of discussion!

I refurbed mine, but still have a bit of a want to put something different on the car. Great thing is that it totally transforms the look, and then can be changed back with no mess!

I really REALLY like those Image rims, but just too expensive..

Whats the offset and bolt patten on the wedge? Anyone know?

PS - Love the Azev!

Also - Do 17's all round scrub? What tyre sizes?

Well said Darren .. personally I think it's silly to go bigger that 16's due to the extra weight the larger wheels bring. Alloy is always heavier that rubber.

Hi Darren,

It was your wheels that I saw when I first started to think about the lack of decent 15" tyres. I did actually phone Image a couple of days ago specifically about that square edge, and the impression I got was that's how they're cast, and could not be changed, hence my uncertainty.
