Apparently the Chief Constable of North Wales has taken to signing his letters:
"On behalf of the 680,000, yours sincerely, Richard"
Am I alone in fearing for his sanity? I doubt it.

Perhaps, more worrying is the sanity of the elected politicians, local and Home Secretary, who don't do anything about it.

There is nothing new about this. Lunies have been chief constables before. We had one in greater Manchester he was called James Anderton. He can still be seen hobling around in Sale from time to time, muttering to himself. He was the first of his breed. His big downfall was when he "had a message from God".
It was not that long after, I think about a year, when he was quietly pushed aside. This is what will happen to Dick! The political trash will never admit one of their soldiers is a moron but they already know and they are in the shadows waiting for the first opportunity to get without. There will be hardly a murmur when it happens.

I had heard about it!! Horrific isn't it? I know the group of journalists and I can assure you they are up in arms. A letter has speed its weary way to Blunkett to have the Chief Constable removed but as we know policians cannot sack Chief of Police etc.
