headlights stopped working??

randomly last night my head lights would not work so i turned them off then back on and they worked...well later that night when i started the noble to go home again they wouldnt come on at all. all i have is side lights and i drove home on high beams...i can hear a relay clicking but no main lights are coming on. any ideas???

If its a 2.5 then the earthing to the light can get a bit corroded.
