Moving On.....
Discussion
I'm sure I posted this earlier but can't see it ......
I sold the today Elise - the car I was going to be buried in.
Sad, sad day. Met loads of good people through the car and that little aluminium and glass confection taught me so much and gave me so much fun.
I've got a new toy (with wheels on) being delivered next week and I hope the mods won't mind me posting a picture or two of it on here.
Thank you all for your help over the past years - its been one hell of a journey and I've learnt so much, met so many truly decent people
along the way and had a huge amount of fun.
Just for the BOLOCS and in the words of Neil Young, 'Long May You Run'
Cheers guys, Happy Days

Hey Tim
Must have been a horrible decision, I know how much time you'd put into that car. Hope the new toy fills the void. Still see you on track?
Anyway, as you said elsewhere you'll probably end up back in a Lotus at some stage. Maybe next time you'll buy a "proper one" and get an S2
All the best mate

Sorry to see you go Tim. Only met you the once and found you to be a damn decent chap
. Although i don't post too often on the forums (never bother with Seloc now) i still read PH everyday and know your dedication to the Lotus world is respected. Hope you still pop in to the forum and let us know how things are going from time to time.

What've you got Tim?
Formula Vauxhall Junior. Bit of a project (needs some tlc), hopefully have her on a track or hill later this year. She was built for Antonio Pizzonia so should be an intrinsically decent car.
Also bought an intergalactic mileage (but looks and drives superb) a Saab 93 Turbo with a slush box to tow the FJV around and get me to the shops in relaxed style.
Should be fun
I'll post some pics when she arrives (next week).

Tipper,
I'm intrigued. Is the Saab eye poppingly good, or bad? (My wife has one and it doesn't particularly inspire me either way!)
For various reasons the Elise had to go so I decided to buy a single seater for Sprints and Hillclimbs (and maybe some racing) and AN OTHER tow barge. I've never owen a Saab so thought 'what the hell' when a mega miles 188bhp auto 93 appeared.I'm intrigued. Is the Saab eye poppingly good, or bad? (My wife has one and it doesn't particularly inspire me either way!)
My Elise had been modified for track/Sprint and whilst huge fun on the road doesn't suit where I'm at now.
I'm impressed with the relaxed, peaceful style of driving the Saab offers whilst it also had a decent turn a of speed when needed. It encourages a totally different style of driving - sit back, relaxi and chill. Walshy would be delighted that I still use rotational steering though

Is the Saab a 'good' car? depends where your coming from but I certainly appreciate mine. It may, not be good on the limit, blah, blah, blah - but I drive it on the road, not track - got a new toy for that!
